A growing number of dating sites serve Ireland, although the number is still comparatively small compared to countries like the USA and Britain. PARSHIP is proud to be one of the first companies offering dedicated dating services in Ireland. Although we are active all over Europe, our Irish site doesn’t allow daters from anywhere else but Ireland. When you join PARSHIP, you know you’ll never have to go too far to meet any of the recommended partners we send you.

When things get serious in love, Irish men are twice more likely to think about uttering the words “Will you marry me” than their European cousins, according to a new international report out today. This is part and parcel of their comparatively traditional attitude to relationships: they want commitment and marriage over lust and passion; they value intelligence over looks, and they really know how to show a girl a good time, spending 106 Euros a time entertaining their love interest. > to the article

Dating website Ireland
Online dating is becoming increasingly popular in Ireland, which is great news. Over the past few years, we’ve seen the change ourselves, with more and more singles joining as members of our Irish site. Today, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on that, because it wasn’t always like this. When I started writing for PARSHIP, Irish online dating was still in its infancy and going online to find a date still had a certain stigma associated with it.
Not that many dating sites served Ireland then and of those that did, most were actually UK sites that had a certain percentage of Irish singles on their databases. People were still wary of meeting “strangers off a dating site” or telling their friends and family they’d met someone online or even that they’d signed up to a dating site in the first place.
Since then, I’ve happily found more and more mentions of online dating in the Irish press, not just as a novelty or with attached warnings, but more and more as a perfectly normal way to look for and find love. It’s also encouraging to see that even with online dating becoming more popular in Ireland and resulting in a wider choice of dating sites to choose from, PARSHIP has retained its position as one of the main contenders for the title of the country’s leading dating website. Ireland has embraced online dating with open arms and we here at PARSHIP, think that’s wonderful, for obvious reasons.
